SUSTAINABLE
Raft is renowned for its reclaimed teak furniture and world-leading eco-credentials. Raft is the first company to use a solar powered kiln to dry its timber in Indonesia. Solar dried reclaimed teak is naturally durable and sustainable and this technology dries our timber with up to 80% less energy input from traditional carbon heat sources.
Teak is an incredibly premium hardwood with natural oils built into its makeup, making it can grow without fertilisers or heavy irrigation and is virtually indestructible. We take our dedication to this material a step further, only using reclaimed teak. Raft’s teak is reclaimed and handcrafted from old ships, bridges and homes. This material’s natural qualities and story are what makes our wooden furniture the most unique, sustainable and timelessly beautiful on the market.
UNIQUE
Raft’s teak is reclaimed from old ships, bridges and homes and then handcrafted into the beautiful furniture you see in our showrooms. Each piece of wood has a long history and journey, unique markings and blockings define each piece, making your teak furniture personal to your home. Our skilled team of artisans in Indonesia understand the beauty of natural teak and don't over-polish it, paying tribute to the roots of the material. This means that your item will differ slightly from the product shown in the picture as no two are the same.
